Disponible la nueva Pre-Release 1.8.9 del SDK de Google App Engine

Con el año nuevo y tras las largas vacaciones que algunos hemos podido disfrutar, ya tenemos aquí la nueva pre-release, en este caso la 1.8.9, del SDK de Google App Engine.

En esta ocasión no trae grandes novedades aunque sí corrige algunas cosas interesantes. También han marcado algunos métodos como obsoletos, por lo tanto, tendremos que estar atentos para actualizar nuestras aplicaciones en caso de utilizar estas funciones obsoletas.

Algunas de las cosas más detacables son:

  • Se ha renombrado el parametro start/stop de appcfg, ahora quedará así:
    appcfg start_module_version
    appcfg stop_module_version

  • Se ha corregido un error de colisiones de reserva de IDs en el Datastore.

  • Corregido el error que producía problemas en el dev_appserver al llamar al API de Cloud Storage y el problema de carga del dev_appserver en Windows con versiones de Python anteriores a la  2.7.2

  • En el API Modules se han renombrado (PHP) o marcado como obsoleto (Python/Java) algunos métodos como por ejemplo: start_module, stop_module, get_modules, get_versions, get_num_instances, etc. [Lee más abajo para cada lenguaje los métodos renombrados/obsoletos en detalle.]

  • En Python han añadido soporte para verbose_name en ComputedProperty

  • En PHP han añadido soporte para extensiones FTP y ZIP.

Año nuevo, nuevas mejoras, algunas cosas nuevas y correcciones que siempre son bienvenidas.
